PEER REVIEW
Karina Ortega:
In Karina's painting I see multiple small canvases that make a whole piece when they are brought together. Each small canvas has an optical illusion and the color scheme is primary colors. The art has lines and shapes that give it a three dimensional effect, even though it is actually flat. When the art work is all together on display it represents a flag, which I think is very clever. Maybe the flag is from a country that has significance in her life, which is a creative way of showing that. The paint is not fully opaque in some areas and could have used a second coat, and the border is not painted. I would have personally changed the lines and border to give it a more clean and full look if it were mine. However, I really like the painting because it is very artistic and visually interesting.

Alixandra Molinar:
In Alixandra's painting I see crochet materials and yarn spelling out the word "Imagine". There are complimentary colors, blue and orange, that are the main colors which has a nice aspect of contrast. Alixandra chose to do this painting because crochet is a hobby of hers. She said that she likes it because she can make almost anything and it helps her be creative, hence the word imagine. I like the texture of the background and of the yarn ball. If this were my painting I think I would maybe make the design bigger or add more to the edges of the painting because it's quite sparse in some areas. Despite that I think it is very nice and shows her interests in a fun way.
